On November 21, 10.18am, a construction mobilization meeting for the MCKIP 3.5-million-tons Integrated Steel Project and the commencement ceremony of the 2×1080 m³ Blast Furnace Project were grandly held in MCKIP, Kuantan. He pointed out that the commencement ceremony is a milestone in the development history of Alliance Steel. The construction of the project has gathered the hard work and efforts of leaders and people from all walks of life. He hoped that all construction units may devote themselves to the project construction with a high standard of “leading Southeast Asia, world-class steel enterprise”, and complete the construction on time and in accordance to the established objectives.
Official launching ceremony
MCKIP 3.5 million tons integrated steel mill project mainly including mechanized raw material plant, hole top coke oven, sintering machine, blast furnace, lime kiln, converter, continuous casting, steel rolling production line, etc. Blast furnace project is the core unit, which has the high technology content, difficult and long construction period. Both Shanghai Baoye Group Co., Ltd and CISDI were involved in the design and construction of this project. The commencement of this project also marks the full launching of the projects main part construction.
