On 22 December 2022, Ms Zhang PeiDong, Counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, led a delegation to visit and provide guidance at Alliance Steel (M) Sdn Bhd. Deputy General Manager Pan ChuanXia, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer Hu JiuLin, Office Director Zheng BaoChun, and other company leaders warmly received and accompanied the delegation throughout the visit.

Accompanied by company leaders, Counsellor Zhang PeiDong arrived at the lobby of the administration building to view the scale model of the company's overall layout.

The delegation then toured the Alliance Steel residential area by bus, accompanied by company leaders, and expressed appreciation for the living environment and the comprehensive amenities provided for employees.

The delegation visited the company's production site, where company leaders accompanied them throughout and gave a detailed introduction and explanation of the production process and technology.

After touring the plant area, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the administration building. At the meeting, company leaders extended a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the Counsellor and his delegation for travelling a long way to visit and provide guidance. Company leaders gave the embassy delegation a detailed briefing on the company's operations, development history and future strategic direction, as well as issues encountered in the course of operations for which the company hoped the embassy could provide assistance, giving the embassy officials a deeper understanding of Alliance Steel's overall situation.

Counsellor Zhang affirmed and praised the achievements Alliance Steel has made in recent years, and suggested that the company closely monitor developments in the global steel industry and formulate its development strategy on a scientific basis; comply with local laws and policies and strengthen communication and cooperation with the local Malaysian government and industry peers to foster a favourable development environment; and continue to prioritise workplace safety and employee management, carry out epidemic-prevention work, and safeguard workers' lives and safety. He expressed concern about the issues encountered in the company's operations, said the embassy would maintain close contact with Alliance Steel, and stated that it would actively seek policy support for the company in all respects and help Chinese-invested enterprises operating overseas resolve difficulties.
